Meet Carol Tedrow, CPA

"I believe we should be having fun doing what we do. I try to stay light and happy but I am always dependable, efficient, and timely. Let's get acquainted and figure out if we can work together — I'd love to hear about your business." — Carol Tedrow, CPA

I’m a Colorado native whose family homesteaded in Boulder, Colorado. I started my academic career as a Forestry Major. Interesting but not very lucrative. I’ve had a variety of jobs and positions. During college, I was a seasonal gift wrapper. (A skill that comes in handy during the holidays) and a deli worker. I’ve managed a gas station. Later, I started as an assembler of circuit cards for a disk drive company and eventually became a financial analyst in their materials division. For many years, I was a stay-at-home mom. This morphed into being a class mom, team mom, and Girl Scout leader.

Life changed, and I set out on a new course. At this time, I got my BS and Master's in Accountancy and later my CPA. I started working in tax but was drawn to the advisor side of helping people grow their businesses. I spent over 10 years as a business advisor in a small Boulder CPA firm. Most recently, I worked with a biomedical company on the cutting edge of genomic sequencing for cancer detection.

My favorite things are making beautiful, useful things from fabric and dancing.

My heart is in the mountains, but I have three fabulous kids who are successful and fun to hang out with. I’m assisted in my practice by my furry interns, Pete and Emme. They have a keen interest in all things accounting.

I love all beaches, rocky and sandy. I’ve been a Hawaiian hula dancer for years and a ukulele player.

I’ll take the time to explain things to you and tailor your reporting to what matters to you. My goal is to have a small, personalized practice that knows you and your business.

Let’s have fun and work together.
